I have always had an innate love for nature and exploring. As a child, I struggled in the classroom, and I longed to be outside, moving my body and exploring nature. I did my best learning and understanding when I was outdoors. Now, as an adult at The Nest, where I am constantly outdoors, discovering new things is a magical and never-ending learning experience for not only myself but all of the children here as well. When children are exposed to nature and the world around them, their creativity, social skills, and imaginative play all grow. I believe they are better prepared for the learning and independence that will happen in the classroom after spending time exploring and playing outdoors. I have learned so much from being at The Nest, and I look forward to learning more and continuing to explore in the years to come.
