Does your child love to dance and perform? Are they feeling motivated to learn a new sport? Maybe they are interested in exploring something new? These are just some of the potential choices available to your child through after school enrichment. After School Enrichment programs will be available to all students at the Nest. Children will have the opportunity to join organized, curriculum-based elective classes that will dive deep into a variety of age-appropriate subject matters, interests, skills, and passions taught by members of the Wheeler community and outside partners and vendors.
Enrichment programs will vary by term (Fall/Winter/Spring). Subject matter, class time and scheduling will determine pricing. Meeting once per week, classes typically run from 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm and require an enrollment minimum in order to operate.
Extended care until 5:30 pm is included in your Nest tuition however, enrollment into enrichment classes will be added to your 8 month installment plan.
Morning drop-off is at 7:45 am from the Wheeler School, Providence Campus, and will leave the Seekonk campus at 3:00 pm for children to be picked up at 3:15 pm at the Wheeler School in Providence. If interested in the transportation option please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note in order to run the transportation option, a required number of bus riders must be met.
Wheeler Summer’s philosophy is about giving campers an opportunity to be active in an outdoor environment, explore new things, have fun, build confidence, and make long-lasting friendships!

For summer 2021, we have continued to enhance our programs and offerings and truly believe that you, and most importantly, your children, will be happy campers. See our COVID updated plans below.
Our Summer Camp programs, for children ages 3 to 15, feature a busy day full of fun camp activities for campers grouped by age. Campers who are curious to explore have a choice of our week-long Specialty Camps in athletics, arts, and enrichment directed by highly qualified organizations and our wonderful Wheeler faculty. Our Specialty Camps are full-day programs that include a half-day of Specialty Camp and a half-day of Traditional Camp. Swim lessons take place each day for campers in both programs. Wheeler summer will also offer a few specialized programs this summer that are full-day programs.
For Summer 2021, in an attempt to be proactive and strategic while planning for camp over 6 months out, we will offer five 2-week sessions to help us establish and maintain stable groups among our campers. This is different from previous years when we have offered ten 1-week sessions. Our hope and current intent are to offer all of our summer family-friendly options. We appreciate your patience as we will continue to follow local and state guidelines to help guide us in our decision-making process. We will have a series of updates leading up to the start of camp and will continue to effectively communicate any changes or adaptations to our policies.
The Auxiliary Programs team will offer programs on select days when the program is not in session, including winter and spring breaks. Camps may include on-site activities and field trips. All programs will be offered from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
The Nest follows the Wheeler School Vacation/Holiday Schedule. The Nest at Wheeler begins on September 1st, 2021 and last day of the program will be on June 9th, 2022.
